Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

Location

White Sulphur Springs, Montana
Small rural Critical Access Hospital setting
Community offers outdoor activities: fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, skiing, snowmobiling

Job Details

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide care in Emergency Room (ER) and acute care settings
Responsible for triaging patients in the ER
Supervise CNA and other nursing staff
Assist with long-term care duties including rounds and toileting at night
Work as part of a small team: typically 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 CNA per shift
Low patient census: 1-2 ER patients and 1-2 inpatients per shift
Orientation scheduled prior to start date

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Charge nurse roles
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
ER triage experience and ability
Acute Care experience

Additional Information

Must be comfortable working in a rural, small hospital environment
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including ER triage and long-term care support
