Required Qualifications

• LTAC experience
• Understanding of the problems in providing nursing services to special client groups such as mentally, physically and or emotionally handicapped.
• Knowledge of the types and application of emergency medical procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and tourniquets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Meditech & Meta experience, CPR and IV certification.

This is an LTAC Rehab hospital

All employees need to be trained on all 4 units as they are required to float. There typically isn’t a float requirement during the shift. They will know before their shift where they are going.

The 4 units at the hospital include:

Respiratory Unit – Patients are mostly on vents. Long-term patients (some have been there over 20 years), but in stable condition. If a patient becomes unstable, they’re sent to another hospital (typically Bay State).

Locked Dementia Unit – Patients are ambulatory

Neuromuscular Unit – Serious chronic muscular diseases, like Huntington’s.

Palliative Care – Long-term patients, stepdown
