Amergis is currently seeking experienced Cath Lab RNs for TRAVEL assignments in Hyannis, MA !

 

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 wks

Number of Openings: 4

Start Date: 8/3

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 5x8s Days w/ rotating start times - 7a-3:30p, 8a-4:30p, 9a-5:30p

Rotating wknds and holidays

On call required for nights, weekend, and holidays in rotation

Requirements

 

  • Must read, write, and communicate in English
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • (RN) - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • (BLS) - Current Basic Life Support certification
  • (ACLS) – Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • (IABP) - Intra-aortic balloon pump course
  • CCHC Pharmacology Exam (pass prior to start date)
  • CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam (pass prior to start date)
  • Acute Cardiac Unit/Stepdown (Post-procedure monitoring and management of patients following cardiac interventions (e.g., PCI, ablation, pacemaker/ICD insertion, TAVR) and vasoactive medication management)
  • Demonstrated skills in I.V. administration and telemetry monitoring
  • Use of lead apron required
  • On-Call is required for off-shift, weekends and holidays


 

The RN (Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab) specializes in working with patients undergoing diagnostic or interventional cardiac procedures in a catheterization lab.  During cardiac catheterizations, these specially trained nurses assist the medical team by monitoring the patient’s vitals, assisting with procedural medication including sedatives, assisting doctors, technicians, nurses and the patients.

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Registered Nurse with a current license in the state they are working
  • ACLS may be required by state/client contract
  • Minimum of 2 years Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Current BLS
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
