MED/SURG RN – 3x12 NIGHTS (CARMEL, IN)
Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses. There are 3 open positions for this 13-week contract in Indiana, built to cover vacant permanent roles with an immediate start.
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Start Date: 07/20/2026 – 10/18/2026 (13 Weeks)
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 | 3x12 Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
- Openings: 3 Positions Available (ASAP Start / Critical Need)
- Unit Ratios: Maximum 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio matrix
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: A combined department consisting of a 16-bed Medical/Surgical unit and a 16-bed Orthopedic unit that operate seamlessly as one cohesive floor.
- Core Duties: Implement care plans, monitor and record patient conditions, execute physician orders, and manage comprehensive discharge planning.
- Float Requirement: Staff must flex and float interchangeably between the Med/Surgical and Ortho units depending on daily census.
- Systems & Charting: Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM). Prior experience with SCM is a major plus.
- Support Array: 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) is dynamically scheduled across both areas based on patient volume.
- Scrubs: Royal Blue.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of current, dedicated acute care Medical/Surgical experience [HARDSTOP].
- Licensure: Active Indiana (IN) state or Compact RN license must be verified at submittal.
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS certification.
- Scheduling: Weekend rotation occurs once every 3 weeks [REQUIRED]. Holiday coverage requirements apply.
- Geographic Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius for travel contracts (Local contracts available upon regional criteria).
