CRITICAL HOT JOB: X-RAY TECH – 5x8 DAYS (AKRON, OH)
Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced Radiologic Technologist. This is a high-volume, 13-week contract at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center, flagged as a critical priority with an immediate start date.
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Start Date: 08/02/2026 – 10/31/2026 (13 Weeks / ASAP Start)
- Shift: 07:00 AM - 15:30 PM | 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (Monday through Friday)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly
- On-Call Mandate: On-call rotations are required [REQUIRED].
- Selection Process: Manager interview required. Submission profiles must include open availability dates and times for the interview in the comments.
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: Akron Campus Diagnostic Radiology Department. Very busy, high-acuity Level 1 Trauma hospital framework.
- Core Competencies: Calibrate and operate core diagnostic imaging equipment, properly position high-acuity trauma patients, and apply appropriate restraining or immobilization devices. Lift and transport patients safely as needed.
- Cross-Training Scope: Successful completion of training or prior competency in secondary radiology modalities (e.g., select basic CT procedures) is highly utilized.
- Systems & Ethics: Maintain absolute proficiency in the hospital’s radiology computer and filing systems while delivering population-specific care rooted in dignity and patient respect.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated Radiologic Technologist experience, specifically within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment [HARDSTOP].
- * Education & Registry: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology. Must be registered (or registry-eligible) with the ARRT [HARDSTOP].
- Licensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted license as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS (CPR certification).
- Time Off Constraints: Strict maximum of 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed [HARDSTOP]. Profiles submitted with more than 7 days of RTO will be automatically rejected by the facility vendor system without review.
