Behavioral Health Social Worker (LCSW) | Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments for adult inpatient Behavioral Health patients.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy for patients experiencing acute mental health conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and psychotherapeutic services.
• Coordinate discharge planning, community referrals, and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, case managers, and the interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
• Perform behavioral health evaluations for patients referred from the Emergency Department and medical units.
• Advocate for patients and families while addressing psychosocial barriers to treatment and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using MEDITECH.
• Provide oversight and support for Behavioral Health Unit social work services while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Required Documents / Certifications

• Active Oregon LCSW License (or Clinical Social Worker Associate working toward Oregon LCSW requirements)
• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare social work experience
• Inpatient Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Social Work experience
• MEDITECH experience (preferred)
