Description

HOT JOB: CT/X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST – 4x10 DAYS & CALL (GARDEN CITY, KS)

Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced, dual-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist. This is a 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Garden City, KS, with an immediate interview and selection pipeline. First-time travelers are welcome!

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

Shift: 07:00 AM - 17:00 PM | 4x10-Hour Day Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly
On-Call Mandate: On-call rotation is required.
Scheduling Constraints: No self-scheduling or block scheduling is available. Weekend and holiday coverage are required.

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

The Environment: Acute care setting handling a comprehensive volume of routine CT scans, stroke protocols, and trauma imaging.
Dual-Modality Scope: The traveler will be heavily utilized for both CT and X-Ray procedures, floating interchangeably between the two areas based on daily needs.
The Hardware: 1 dedicated GE 64-slice scanner room.
Systems & Charting: Epic EMR combined with Fuji Synapse PACS.
Clinical Skills: High competency in performing CT scans and handling intravenous (IV) contrast administration. Note: IVs are primarily started in the ED or inpatient units; technologists are not routinely required to start IVs on this shift.
Dress Code: Professional scrubs (no facility-mandated scrub color required).

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of dedicated hospital experience in CT and Diagnostic Radiology (X-Ray).
Registries: Dual registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiography and Computed Tomography (ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT)) is required.
Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted Kansas state radiology license. License to submit is required.
Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Geographic Rule: Must live outside a 60-mile radius from the facility to qualify. A copy of the candidate's Driver's License must be submitted up front with the profile.
