Patient Types:
Oncology patients
95% outpatient and some inpatient/emergency appointments
Patient Ratios:
RN: 1:1
Outpatient 55 average patients/week
10 consults/week
15 follow ups/week
Therapist: 1:1
20 patients in each machine /day
Required Certifications:
RN: BLS
Tech /Therapist : ARRT, BLS, IDNS (Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety) – IEMA
Skills required:
Radiation Therapist - Treatment with true beam
Rooming and setting patients up in the treatment room
Support on the Unit:
12 therapists
4 Registered Nurses
2- 3 Physicians
Charting System:
EPIC
Mosaic
Alaris
Pyxis
Floating : If yes, where? None
Orientation: (facility and unit)
1 day of NEO
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation : None
Mon-Friday 08:00-4:30
Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? None
Holiday Expectations: Closed on Holidays
Approval of time off? Submit to Team Lead for approval for the week of Christmas
