We are seeking an experienced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for ICU nurses who excel in caring for critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Medical ICU.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Manage ventilated patients and provide advanced respiratory care.
• Care for patients with central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines, and implanted ports.
• Titrate vasoactive medications, sedation, insulin drips, and cardiac drips per protocol.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, perform 12-lead ECGs, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Document all patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Float to other critical care units as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Epic EMR experience required.
