Description

Behavioral Health RN – Hilo, HI
Contract Duration - 13 weeks
Shift - 8 hour rotating shifts, must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Weekly hours - 40 hrs

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients with behavioral health needs in a 12-bed inpatient unit.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and deliver nursing care for behavioral health patients.
Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment.
Document care accurately using Meditech EMR.
Serve as Charge Nurse as assigned.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Requirements:

Active Hawaii RN license
Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience.
BLS
Current NCI or equivalent crisis prevention/intervention certification.
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
