HOT JOB: MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNICIAN – 5x8 DAYS WITH FREE HOUSING (NANTUCKET, MA)
Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced Mammography Technician. This is a 13-week contract, situated on the beautiful island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. This premier assignment features an excellent daytime schedule, absolutely no on-call mandates, and free premium housing provided directly by the facility!
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Start Date: 08/03/2026 – 10/31/2026 (13 Weeks)
- Shift Schedule: 08:00 AM - 16:30 PM | Monday through Friday (5x8s)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly
- On-Call Mandate: None – No call required!
- Housing Perk [CRITICAL]: Shared housing is provided completely free of charge (at no cost to the traveler) by the facility. This eliminates the hardest logistical barrier to taking an island contract during peak season!
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: Dedicated Imaging department within an island community hospital framework, providing crucial diagnostic services.
- Core Scope: Operate advanced mammography equipment to produce high-quality breast imaging studies for screenings and diagnostic evaluations.
- Patient Care: Maintain strong clinical judgment, ensure proper patient positioning, maximize tissue compression optimization while prioritizing patient comfort, and adhere to strict radiation safety standards.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of dedicated, independent Mammography experience.
- Registries: Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration with a mammography specialty credential (ARRT (M)) is required.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Massachusetts (MA) state radiologic technologist license must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Local accepted at lower rate.
