Pay Breakdown:

• Weekly Gross: $2,350
• W2: $30.67/Hr.
• Stipend: $1,246 Weekly
   

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, including those transitioning from critical care or experiencing complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate is clinically proficient, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Duties

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other complex medical conditions using telemetry and advanced monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, case managers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, discharge planning, and disease management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, HIPAA regulations, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and continuing education activities.
• Serve as an advocate for patients while promoting compassionate, patient-centered care.
   

Requirements:

• MO or Compact State RN license - Required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Step down experience - Required
• Current BLS AHA, ACLS Certifications - Required
