🔥 HIGH-COMPENSATION MS/TELE RN CONTRACT – 48-HOUR DAY/NIGHT ROTATION

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly adaptive Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) in Rochester, New York. Operating within a high-volume, 528-bed tertiary care hospital, this specialized overflow and complex care unit is optimized as a high-earning 48-hour weekly contract. Please note: First-time travel nurses are proudly accepted on this floor as long as they possess proven experience managing high-acuity patient ratios!

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $2,992.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,484.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $29.00/hr
• Overtime Rate: $43.50/hr
• Based on 48 hours weekly (40 Regular Hours + 8 Overtime Hours).

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day/Night rotating shifts, 4x12-Hours (07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00). Block scheduling is not available for this role.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours plus 8 overtime hours scheduled weekly.
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: High-volume care setting with typical ratios running 1:6 (can occasionally fluctuate between 1:5 and 1:7 based on floor census).
• Weekend Coverage: Rotating every other weekend required.
• EMR Charting System: Epic experience is a hard requirement.
• Clinical Scope & Case Mix: Fast-paced complex care unit managing general medicine, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, surgical drains, and complex long-term inpatient care.
• Core Responsibilities: On-the-unit telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation/dysrhythmia management, pacemakers (temporary/permanent), blood product administration, Heparin protocols, thrombolytic agents, and PCA pumps. Managed care includes central line/PICC management, IV therapy, starting IVs, phlebotomy, wound care/wound vacs, and feeding tube management.
• Respiratory Flow: Supports High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac).
• Dress Code: Navy blue on the bottom, with navy blue or white tops.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN. Prior charge nurse experience is required.
• Licensure: Valid New York State nursing license MUST be active and in-hand to submit—no exceptions.
• Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications are strictly required to pass automated compliance filters. A valid copy of your NIHSS certification must be included in your submittal profile.
