First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly collaborative Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) in Rochester, New York. Operating within a specialized 19-bed Cardiac Unit, this position features an immediate auto-offer pathway for qualified clinicians. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $2,240.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,484.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $21.00/hr
• Overtime Rate: $31.50/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 - 07:00). Block scheduling is not guaranteed—the department will attempt to accommodate request windows but schedules are based on floor demands. No mandatory on-call requirements apply!
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• Pacing & Patient Ratios: Dynamic care setting on a 19-bed unit. Night shift nurse ratios track at 1:6 to 1:7 (with potential to stretch to 1:8 or 1:10 if staff call-ins occur). Supported on all shifts by dedicated Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who manage vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living.
• EMR Charting System: Epic.
• Clinical Scope & Care Mix: Target cardiac specialties encompassing telemetry monitoring, advanced interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and rapid coordination with Code/Rapid Response Teams.
• Core Responsibilities: Specialized delivery of oxygen protocols, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE tracking, and peripheral line care/management. Mandatory independent technical competency in both phlebotomy and IV placement is a required skill for all RNs at this facility.
• Dress Code: Any combination of solid Navy Blue and White scrubs.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN in an acute care setting. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
• Licensure: Valid New York State nursing license MUST be active and fully in hand at the exact time of submission—pending state licenses cannot be accepted.
• Certifications Required: Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIHSS certifications are mandatory to clear the portal gate.
