🔥 PREMIUM DAY-SHIFT MS/TELE RN CONTRACT – 3x12 DAYS

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) in Massena, New York. Operating within a 25-bed community hospital unit with a daily census averaging 20 patients, this position offers a stable daytime routine. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $2,110.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $24.00/hr
• Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:00 PM). Block scheduling is not available for this role.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• Patient Ratios: Typical pacing structures track at 1:6 on day shifts, 1:7 on nights, and up to 1:8 on weekends.
• Weekend Coverage: Rotating every other weekend (EOW) required.
• EMR Charting System: Epic. Experience is a strict requirement.
• Clinical Scope & Case Mix: General medicine and telemetry monitoring. Common patient diagnoses encompass COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-outs.
• Core Responsibilities: In-unit telemetry monitoring, independent rhythm interpretation/dysrhythmia management, blood product administrations, and rapid coordination with Code/Rapid Response Teams. Managing Heparin protocols, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), wound care/wound vacs, central lines, PICC lines, peripheral care, and starting IVs is required. Additional workflow exposure includes Cerner Bridge.
• Advanced Respiratory Care: Independent management covers BiPAP/CPAP maintenance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and portable oxygen tanks. Supported on-floor by Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and a Unit Secretary.
• Dress Code: Flexible formatting; the unit allows any professional nursing uniform scrub color.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical acute care experience as an RN in a similar Med Surg or Telemetry specialty.
• Licensure: Valid New York State nursing license MUST be active and fully in-hand at the exact time of submission—no exceptions.
• Certifications Required: Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory to clear the portal gate.
