Description
Respiratory Therapist (RT) | Concord, MA
Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
Shift: Night (7:00 pm-7:30 am)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Local Pay: $60/hr - $65/hr
Schedule
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holidays
- No call
- No floating
Candidate Requirements
- Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- NRP certification required at submission and hire
- Previous travel experience required
- Previous Respiratory Therapist experience strongly preferred
- Previous patient care experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory therapy procedures according to hospital policies.
- Assess, treat, and reassess neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Administer respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with respiratory care interventions.
- Participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and care.
- Assist with orientation and training of respiratory and nursing staff.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and departmental education.
- Transport patients when required.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management.
- Maintain patient privacy, safety, and quality of care.
- Perform other duties assigned by the department.
