HOT JOB: MRI TECHNOLOGIST – 5x8 DAYS & MINIMAL CALL (DES MOINES, IA)

 

I am fast-tracking applications for two experienced, highly proficient MRI Technologists to support a prominent multi-campus healthcare network in Des Moines, Iowa. These 13-week contracts offer a stable daytime schedule, a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, and an accelerated direct screening pipeline with interviews!

 

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

  • Start Date: 08/03/2026 or 08/10/2026 (13 Weeks)
  • Openings: 2 Positions Available
  • Shift Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts | Monday through Friday
    • Staggered Start Window: 07:00 AM or 08:00 AM start times (ending 15:30 PM / 16:30 PM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly
  • On-Call Mandate: Extremely light call rotation. Scheduled for only one weeknight (Sun–Thurs) and one weekend block (Fri/Sat) every 10th weekend.
  • Systems & Charting: Epic / Epic Radiant EMR (Required)
  • Holiday Obligation: Required to work 1 to 2 of the upcoming seasonal holidays unless the department is closed.
  • Dress Code: Solid Charcoal Gray scrubs (traveler provided).

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

  • The Environment: High-acuity imaging network servicing diverse Emergency Department (ED), Inpatient (IP), and Outpatient (OP) patient types across a Level II Trauma framework (Level I trauma experience is highly preferred).
  • Equipment Ecosystem: Dual-platform proficiency is an absolute necessity. You will be operating high-field Siemens and GE MRI equipment.
  • Core Skills: Autonomously perform advanced diagnostic imaging protocols, execute power injection contrast protocols, and maintain strict magnetic resonance safety standards.
  • Float Scope [CRITICAL]: Must be fully willing to float across all regional Des Moines campuses (Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital) to match real-time patient census.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

  • Experience: Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current, dedicated MRI experience is strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Equipment & Software: Proven, dual-platform proficiency using both GE and Siemens MRI scanners, alongside hands-on Epic or Epic Radiant charting history, must be explicitly detailed on your profile.
  • Registries & Credentials:
    • An active ARRT (MR) registry certification or an active ARMRIT certificate is required at the time of submission [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification.
  • Geographic Policy: Both local and travel candidates are fully accepted. A 50-mile radius rule applies (Local candidates residing within 50 miles will receive a reduction to the rate).
