Description

Travel RN NICU I $2736 (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 36 hours/week

 

Job Details:


Position: Registered Nurse NICU 
Schedule: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks 

Start Date: August 31, 2026 

Radius: No local candidates within 50 miles

 

Requirements:
✅Minimum 2 years of recent NICU/Neonatal nursing experience required.

✅Travel nursing experience required.

✅Must have Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery experience.

✅Prior Postpartum (PP) and couplet care experience required.

✅Delivery attendance experience required.

✅Must be comfortable providing coverage/support for Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery units.

✅BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

✅NRP certification required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk newborns during deliveries and in a Level II nursery setting.

Perform age-appropriate assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Provide care for neonates requiring close monitoring, stabilization, and specialized newborn care.

Attend high-risk deliveries and assist with newborn stabilization and transition care.

Provide postpartum and couplet care for mothers and newborns as needed.

Educate and support families regarding newborn care, feeding, safety, and treatment plans.

Collaborate with physicians, neonatal providers, lactation specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development, mentoring, and evidence-based nursing practices.
