🔥 PREMIUM DAY-SHIFT L&D RN CONTRACT – HIGH-GROSS AUTO-OFFER OPPORTUNITY

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a compassionate Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Operating within the specialized care networks at Ardent Health Services Lovelace Women's Hospital, this position features a stable daytime routine with premium Southwestern tax-free stipends. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,816.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,568.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $24.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 4x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM). Block scheduling formatting is not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours plus 8 overtime hours scheduled weekly for the 48-hour option.
  • Weekend Requirements: Structured scheduling rotation covering 4 to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling block.
  • On-Call Demands: No regular mandatory on-call shifts are required under this contract profile.
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Outstanding, highly stable 1:2 care mappings maintained consistently across days, nights, and weekends.
  • Unit Environment & Infrastructure: Specialized maternal-child health infrastructure featuring 15 dedicated rooms and 15 beds, supporting an active clinical pacing of 100–200 facility births per month.
  • Clinical Scope & Procedures: Comprehensive intraoperative and obstetrical care management across Labor & Delivery, Antepartum care, and Triage settings. Core obligations encompass assisting with standard vaginal and high-risk deliveries, performing sterile vaginal exams, circulating for C-sections, and recovering post-op C-section patients.
  • Technical Skills & Infusions: High proficiency in External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) execution, IV therapy/phlebotomy, isolation precautions/PPE, and maintenance of central lines (CVC/PICC). Proactive medication management covers anticoagulation therapy, continuous IV insulin drips, and high-risk antihypertensives.
  • Dress Code: Uniform scrub attire is provided directly by the facility.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of active acute care experience as an L&D RN is strictly required (this threshold must exclude any new graduate orientation timelines). Preferably looking for seasoned clinicians with 3 or more years of specialty experience.
  • Licensure: Valid New Mexico State Nursing License or an active Multi-State Compact RN License. Pending license status is accepted at the time of initial submittal, provided it is fully active in hand prior to the official contract start date.
  • Certifications Required: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NRP provider certifications are mandatory. Must also hold an active AWHONN Intermediate credential. AWHONN Advanced certification is highly preferred. (Pending certification card processing is acceptable at submission).

📍 Strict 50-Mile Geographical Local Radius Rule: A rigid 50-mile local radius policy applies to this regional network. Permanent residents residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility campus center are not accepted under travel parameters. Former permanent employees must observe a mandatory 1-year separation window before returning on an agency contract. 🚗 Mandatory Network Census Floating: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers are strictly required to float flexibly to like units within their professional scope as needed based on immediate facility demands. Brief structural orientation will be provided upon floating. 🏖️ Upfront Requested Time Off (RTO) Limits: All desired RTO must be explicitly detailed up-front at the exact moment of initial submission; post-offer requests will not be approved. Portal parameters allow a maximum of 4 days of RTO to be auto-approved by the client. 📋 Hard Submission Vetting Checklist: Submittals must explicitly contain your preference for weekly hours (36 vs. 48 hours), explicit RTO requests, verified license/compact status, and complete notation of active certifications. Once the contract is finalized, the traveler is required to go in for laboratory compliance testing within 48 business hours; please notify your recruiter at submission of any expected compliance delays.
