  • Beds: 15 | Rooms: 11
  • Daily Census: 15–20 patients
  • Charting System: EPIC (REQUIRED)
  • Patient Population: Neonates, infants, adults
  • Specialty: High-risk OB with culturally diverse patient population

📋 Schedule & Work Details

  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 days/week)
  • Hours: 36 hours/week
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes (as needed)
  • Floating: Required – travelers float first within scope

⚠️ Minimum Requirements (Strict)

  • Active California RN License
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate
  • Minimum 1 year L&D experience
  • EPIC experience REQUIRED

 

👩‍⚕️ Core Responsibilities

  • Manage laboring patients and assist with deliveries
  • Circulate for C-sections
  • Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • Monitor fetal heart rates using external/internal fetal monitoring
  • Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives
  • Support newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and assessments
  • Educate and support patients and families throughout childbirth

 

🧠 Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience with high-risk deliveries
  • Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
  • Ability to assist with vaginal and surgical deliveries
  • Comfortable in fast-paced L&D environment
  • Postpartum and newborn care experience preferred
