💰 Up to $120/hr Bill Rate | 🌙 12-Hour Nights | 📅 13 Weeks
Looking for your next California adventure? St. John's Regional Medical Center in beautiful Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. Work in a supportive Women's Services department caring for a diverse patient population while enjoying the Southern California coastline just minutes away.
This position is ideal for an L&D nurse with Postpartum experience who is comfortable caring for high-risk deliveries, circulating C-sections, and floating between L&D and Postpartum as needed.

- 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Every Other Weekend
- First to Float
Unit Information
- Labor & Delivery: 7 Beds
- Triage: 4 Beds + 2 Overflow Beds
- Postpartum: 27 Beds
- Nursery: 5 Beds
- Approximately 1,545 deliveries annually (about 3 births per day)
Patient Population
- High-risk pregnancies
- All gestational ages
- Substance withdrawal patients
- Limited/no prenatal care cases
- EMT deliveries
- Large Spanish-speaking population
- Critical maternal/fetal cases transferred to higher level facilities when needed
Required Experience
- 2-3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Prior travel assignment preferred
- Must have Postpartum experience
- Must be able to circulate C-sections
- Scrub experience is not required
Floating
- L&D nurses float to:
- Postpartum
- NICU (Grower/Feeder infants)
- Postpartum nurses may assist L&D or NICU within scope
Schedule & Call
- Nights: 7 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend
- Call is optional but preferred
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Nurse Support
- Charge Nurse every shift
- Resource nurse for breaks
- OB Techs assist with:
- C-sections
- Deliveries
- Stocking
- Patient intake
- Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy available 24/7
- Neonatologist & OB available on-call 24/7 (30-minute response)
