Job Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Experience working with older GE and Siemens CT scanners is required.
• Experience with the following imaging equipment is required:
  • GE 16-slice CT scanner
  • Siemens portable X-ray
  • GE C-arm (for Modified Barium Swallow studies)
  • Siemens, Fuji, and GE X-ray equipment

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required.

Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 4x10 Days
• Primary Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call: Yes, 2–3 nights of call per week.
• Weekend Requirement: Yes.

Floating

• Must be willing to float within scope of practice.
• Clinicians should expect to float to Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC) to assist with staffing needs.
• Saint Elias and PAMC are approximately 3 miles apart (about a 10-minute drive).

Scheduling

• Block scheduling is available.

Additional Requirements

• Local candidates are not accepted. Candidates must have a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Pending licenses/certifications are not accepted.
• Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer.
• Only one Requested Time Off (RTO) request is permitted per 13-week assignment.
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours every 2 weeks.
  • Travelers may be called off for one 10-hour shift per two-week pay period.
