Travel RN – Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool

Position Highlights

Unit: Med Surg/Telemetry Float Pool
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00–7:00)
Orientation: 1–2 shifts with a preceptor
Adult & Geriatric patient population

Float Pool Coverage

Travelers float between multiple Med Surg/Telemetry specialty units, including:

Cardiac
Neuro
Oncology
Rehabilitation
Renal
Bariatrics
Orthopedics
Trauma
Emergency Department Observation

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Neuro experience preferred

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS

Unit Details

Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 (based on acuity)
Heparin drips only
Charge nurse available on each unit
CNA support available
Respiratory Therapy support for CPAP, BiPAP, vents, and other respiratory equipment
