Unit Information:
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Send for manager approval for 1st time traveler
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Cardiac, Pulmonary, Vascular
o No high acuity procedures
o PCI, L and R heart caths, tunnel caths, port placements
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
o BLS, ARRT-R, State license
Skills required:
o Cath Lab experience, comfort monitoring patients preferred, must be able to scrub, set up for procedures
Support within the Department:
o Manager
o 2 cardiologist, 1 vascular surgeon
o 4 techs
o 4 nurses plus charge
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: Cerner preferred
o IV Pump: Plum 360
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Hemodynamic: McKesson preferred
o Unit specific equipment: room 1 Phillips, room 2 GE Cath Lab
Floating: If yes, where?
o No
Orientation (facility and unit) :
o NEO
o 2-3 days of orientation
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other weekend
o On call? If so, what is that schedule? 6-week schedule, expect 16-18 call shifts, this includes weekend shifts
Call typically runs from 5:30PM to 7AM
o Open to working 10- or 12-hour shifts
o Holiday Expectations: potential to be on call
o Approval of RTO: NM approval
