Description

Travel Med Surg RN

Unit: Medical Surgical | Ratio: 1:5–6

Must Have:

Minimum 1.5 years Level I, Level II, or tertiary hospital experience
Minimum 1 year Med Surg experience in a 450+ bed hospital
Active Indiana or Compact RN License
BLS (AHA)

Patient Population:
COPD, CHF, Diabetes, ESRD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, GI disorders, Stroke, Dementia, Mental Health, Post-op Medical/Surgical

Skills Required:

General Med Surg nursing
Heparin & insulin drips
Wound vacs, chest tubes, feeding tubes/pumps
IV therapy, telemetry, care planning
EMR: Epic

Unit Details:

3x12-hour shifts
Every 3 weekends in 4 weeks
Float to other Med Surg units only
Caribbean Blue scrubs

Facility Requirements:

50-mile local rule (12% reduced rate for locals)
Up to 24 hours cancellation per 13-week contract
8-hour non-billable orientation
1 day hospital orientation + ~5 days nursing/EPIC orientation
