📍 Travel CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity – Louisville, KY
✅ Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Kentucky RN License (or applicable state license)
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- ADN/ASN required (BSN preferred)
- Previous Critical Care/CVICU/Open Heart Recovery experience preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
📋 Schedule & Unit Details
- 3x12 Day Shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours/week
- Department: Cardiovascular Open Heart Recovery (CVR) & CVICU
- CVR: 5-bed immediate post-operative cardiac recovery unit
- CVICU: 7-bed critical care unit for cardiac surgery patients
🏥 Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor patient condition and respond to clinical changes
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation
