Description

Travel Med Surg/Telemetry RN

Shift: Nights, 3x12s (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
Experience: 1+ year recent Med Surg/Telemetry (First-time travelers accepted)
Required: BLS
Required Skills: Telemetry, Dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV starts, Phlebotomy, Peripheral IV management, Rapid Response, Oxygen therapy, Isolation precautions
Patient Population: Cardiovascular, Wound care, General Med Surg
Ratios: Days 1:5 (stretch 1:6–7) | Nights 1:6–7 (may stretch to 1:8–10 if staffing shortages)
Support Staff: PCTs perform vitals, blood glucose, EKGs, and ADLs
Equipment: Hoyer lifts, Wound VACs
Float: Med Surg, ICU, and ED (Med Surg-level patients/helping hands only)
Weekend: Every other weekend
EMR: Epic preferred
Travel Requirement: No locals within 75 miles
Pending License: Not accepted
RTO: Keep close to 1 week
Scrubs: Navy blue/white
Orientation: Modules + 4-hour classroom + unit orientation
