Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute-care hospital with 220 licensed beds
• Emergency Department with 34 beds
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Serves all age groups (pediatric to geriatric)
• Electronic Health Record system: Medhost
• Emergency Department handles common diagnoses such as Chest Pain, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Psychiatric cases

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As needed, approximately every other weekend
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear is not acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Random drug screening and criminal background consent required
• Patient population includes a wide range of ages and medical conditions
