Job Summary

Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Diagnostic Radiology Department, primarily supporting the CT Scan and MRI units. This position involves providing safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures while collaborating with radiologists, technologists, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing CT and MRI procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and prepare patients before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Administer medications and IV contrast as ordered while monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Continuously monitor patient status and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding imaging procedures, preparation, and post-procedure care.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to facility policies.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Float within the Radiology Department as needed.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (required)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Previous CT Scan and/or MRI experience preferred (unit-based training provided for qualified candidates)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
