Key Requirements

Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
Current AHA BLS Certification
Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification
Current Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN)
Chemotherapy Certification required
Preceptor experience is mandatory
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Chemotherapy Infusion experience
Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based educational programs for oncology nursing staff.
Conduct competency assessments and validation for oncology nurses.
Collaborate with nurse leaders, clinical specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to support orientation, continuing education, and professional development.
Ensure compliance with oncology-specific regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards, including ONS guidelines and chemotherapy/immunotherapy competency requirements.
