Shift: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm ( Friday to Tuesday)

Certification: LCSW Licence of North Carolina

Procedures performed on unit:

Completes Activity Therapy Assessment, runs psychotherapeutic group activities for adult, child, adolescent and geriatric patients and documents in medical record. Typically you are completing assessments and treatment plans for new patients and running four groups a day on various units. Applicant would be the primary group facilitator but RN’s and Techs will also be present in the group to be compliant with staff to patient ratios.

Bachelors degree in relevant field (e.g. activity therapy, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy, expressive arts therapy)
Certifcation, licensure, or registration in appropriate area. For example, NC Licensed Recreational Therapist or Associate (LRT or LRT-A or CTRS), Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Music Therapist (MT), Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT) or similar certification.
