Contract Duration: August 23, 2026 – November 30, 2026
Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Approx. 40 Hours/Week)

Position Overview

CVS Health is seeking compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to support its nationwide Vaccination Initiative. This is a patient-facing, in-store role responsible for administering a variety of immunizations, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccines.

The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care while promoting community health in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations according to established clinical protocols.
• Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation of all vaccinations.
• Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and vaccine storage/handling guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
• Deliver outstanding customer service with empathy, professionalism, and compassion.
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and operational needs.
• Maintain compliance with all state regulations and CVS Health policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Previous immunization/vaccination experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be flexible with scheduling and work hours.
• Candidate must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• High School Diploma or GED (verification required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail health, ambulatory care, public health, or community vaccination programs.
• Strong patient education and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Work Environment

• Onsite, patient-facing retail healthcare setting.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
• Standing, walking, and repetitive clinical tasks throughout the shift.
• High-volume vaccination clinic during seasonal immunization campaigns.
