Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse (Vaccination Initiative)
Location: Visalia, CA (Onsite – Retail Healthcare Setting)
Contract Duration: August 23, 2026 – November 30, 2026
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a community vaccination initiative in a retail healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for administering various vaccines, including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations, while providing exceptional patient care and promoting positive health outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines including Flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations according to established clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
- Provide patient education regarding vaccinations, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
- Perform patient assessments and verify vaccination eligibility before administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vaccine administration and patient records.
- Follow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE guidelines.
- Deliver compassionate, professional care while creating a positive patient experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and pharmacy team members to support vaccination services.
- Adapt to changing workflows and patient needs in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
- Experience administering vaccines and providing patient care in a clinical setting.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a healthcare team.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail healthcare, community health, urgent care, occupational health, or vaccination clinics.
- Prior experience with high-volume immunization programs.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
Work Environment
- Onsite, patient-facing role within a retail healthcare setting.
- PPE will be provided.
- Candidate must be flexible with work hours based on operational needs.
