Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse
Assignment Type: Contract / Temporary
Location: Seal Beach, California (Onsite)
Facility: Retail Healthcare Setting
Contract Duration: August 23, 2026 – November 30, 2026
Schedule: Sunday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Flexible Scheduling Required)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Day Shift

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a community healthcare vaccination initiative in a retail pharmacy setting. The RN will be responsible for administering a variety of vaccines, including flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other immunizations, while providing safe, compassionate, and patient-focused care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic community healthcare environment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer vaccinations including flu, COVID-19, MMR, and other approved vaccines safely and efficiently.
- Perform patient assessments and ensure proper vaccine administration procedures are followed.
- Educate patients regarding vaccines, potential reactions, and post-vaccination care instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of immunizations and patient information.
- Provide exceptional customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.
- Support team goals and contribute to a culture focused on quality care and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are provided.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization/vaccination experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and vaccine delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to administer vaccines to patients of all ages.
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in:
- Retail healthcare clinics
- Community health settings
- Vaccination clinics
- Urgent care or outpatient environments
- Prior experience with mass immunization events.
- Experience providing patient education and health counseling.
