CVS Health is seeking compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Vaccination Initiative as an Immunizing Nurse Float. In this patient-facing retail clinic role, you will administer a variety of vaccines while delivering exceptional customer care in a fast-paced community healthcare environment.

Job Type: Full-Time Contract

Schedule:

• Monday – Saturday
• 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 40 Hours per Week
• Flexible scheduling required

Retail Pharmacy / Community Healthcare Clinic

Position Summary

The Immunizing Nurse will administer a variety of vaccines in a retail pharmacy setting while delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting CVS Health's mission of improving community health.

PPE and all required clinical supplies are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines including:
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • COVID-19  
  • MMR
  • Hepatitis A & B
  • Tdap  
  • Shingles  
  • RSV
  • Pneumococcal  
  • Other CDC-recommended immunizations
• Assess patients prior to vaccination.
• Administer medications following established clinical protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions after immunization.
• Educate patients on vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic systems.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE protocols.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in a retail healthcare environment.
• Adapt to changing workflows and support multiple clinic locations as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable administering vaccines throughout the workday.
• Ability to work independently in a retail healthcare setting.
• Flexible to work varying schedules based on business needs.

• Active RN License
