Shift: Nights 1800-0630
Call Requirements none
Weekends: every third
Number of Beds - 17
Number of Staff – minimum of 7 per shift depending on census. 1 tech at 7pts/2 at 14
Type of staff:
Day Shift – (example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters)
Night Shift – 1 charge, 6-7 RN, 1-2 PCA and sitters as needed
Patient Ratios – depending on acuity, 1:2 or 1:4 for stepdowns or bedholds
Type of equipment – ventilators, CRRT, monitors, IV pumps, etc
EMR -EPIC
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
RN State licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIH, pass EKG competency for rhythm interpretation
ICU or critical care experience
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
TNCC or TCAR
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
TLC, intubation, CRRT, TTM, Stroke tPA, foley catheter, CPR, defibrillation/cardioversion, TEE
Best personality Fit:
Easy going but with attention to detail
Not afraid to ask questions when unsure and willing to be team player
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
