Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Clyde, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work in a 17-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population primarily geriatric and adult, with some pediatrics
• Utilize ED Paragon electronic health record system
• Self-scheduling via an app called When to Work
• No call requirements
• Weekend shifts every other weekend (unless paired with a weekender)
• Team-oriented, friendly, hardworking environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of total travel nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Hours

• 36 hours per week guaranteed

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs and facility t-shirts; hoodies and sweatshirts are not acceptable
• Common diagnoses treated include chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric cases
• No float requirements

Orientation

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available
