Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Somerset, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Acute care travel RN position in a 295-bed, state-of-the-art hospital serving an 11-county area in south central Kentucky.
Specialty: Medical-Surgical Neuro ICU
Shift: Nights
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend (EOW)
No call requirements
May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Patient Care & Environment

Patient ratios: 4:1 on day shift, 5:1 on night shift
Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Patient population includes adult and neuro patients
Trauma level: Not specified

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Medical-Surgical experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required prior to start:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
May be required to float to other units within a 25-mile radius
Facility employs over 1,200 healthcare professionals and offers advanced cardiac and neurosurgery services including a Spine Center accreditation
