Description
PAY:
Local Pay - $80/hr on W2
Travelers Pay:
Taxable Amount - $42/hr on W2
Lodging Stipend - $1,100 weekly
Meals Stipend - $770 weekly
Weekly Gross - $3,550 weekly including stipend for 40 hours.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - CT Technologist
Location - 80 Jesse Hill Jr Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Duration - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 9 pm to 7:30 am, Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri
Weekly Hours - 40 hours
Level 1 trauma
Stroke and Burn
GE scanners-2 with old platform and 5 with the revolution scanner platform
EPIC computer software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
Prepare and position patients for CT procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and proper anatomical alignment.
Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
Administer intravenous (IV), oral, and rectal contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Evaluate CT images for diagnostic quality and repeat scans when necessary to ensure optimal results.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies or contrast reactions.
Maintain radiation safety standards by following ALARA principles and using appropriate shielding techniques.
Verify patient identity, medical history, allergies, and imaging orders prior to examinations.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care.
Accurately document procedures, contrast administration, and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS/RIS systems.
Perform routine quality assurance checks and report equipment malfunctions to ensure optimal scanner performance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on CT procedures and provide post-contrast instructions when appropriate.
Participate in trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical imaging as required.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, ARRT, and facility policies and procedures.
