Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Waco, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Job Description

Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Implement and monitor patient care plans; assess, record, and communicate patient conditions.
Coordinate care among all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
Execute physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas.
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
