Job Title: Travel CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Facility: Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Assignment Type: 13-Week Travel Contract (Potential for extension)
Shift: Nights | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Job Overview
Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an imaging professional who is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic CT imaging while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
- Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring optimal image quality.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer contrast media in accordance with facility policies and scope of practice, when applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and radiation safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance, infection prevention, and quality assurance procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience (Required).
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active ARRT (CT) certification (if required by state/facility).
- Active Florida State License (if applicable).
- BLS (American Heart Association).
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for extension)
- Shift: Nights (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- On-Call: Required
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: As required by the department
- Assignment Type: Long-Term Travel Assignment
