Description
Job Description: Job Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense medications for pediatric and neonatal inpatients.
- Prepare and verify sterile IV medications using aseptic technique.
- Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to the healthcare team.
- Perform pediatric dosing calculations and ensure safe medication use.
- Verify physician medication orders and assess for interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.
- Manage automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis and Carousel (preferred experience).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate medication documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Support operational pharmacy services, including sterile compounding and medication distribution, based on experience.
