Description

Job Description: Job Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and dispense medications for pediatric and neonatal inpatients.
Prepare and verify sterile IV medications using aseptic technique.
Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to the healthcare team.
Perform pediatric dosing calculations and ensure safe medication use.
Verify physician medication orders and assess for interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.
Manage automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis and Carousel (preferred experience).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate medication documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
Support operational pharmacy services, including sterile compounding and medication distribution, based on experience.

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience, or completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. • Inpatient/Acute Care experience required. • Active Connecticut Pharmacist (RPh) License required • PharmD preferred • Sterile compounding/aseptic technique experience preferred • Pediatric dosing experience preferred • Some pediatric or women's health pharmacy exposure preferred
