Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – General OR

Location: Pittsfield, MA
Schedule: 5x8 Afternoons | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the Operating Room team at a respected Level III Trauma Center in Pittsfield, MA. This assignment is ideal for a seasoned traveler who is confident working independently across multiple surgical specialties and is comfortable taking call.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Set up and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient workflow.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current CST experience.
• Previous travel CST experience (first-time travelers will not be considered).
• NBSTSA Certification (NCCT not accepted).
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Experience in:
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Vascular
  • Thoracic
  • Orthopedics (including Total Joints)
  • Neuro (Head & Spine)
  • Trauma
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to precept/orient new staff.
• Must be willing to take call.
• Personal vehicle required.
