🧑‍⚕️ Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join the Acute Med/Surg Unit (Unit: Med/Surg Acute 1). This role requires a nurse who is confident, adaptable, and skilled in managing a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

• Shift: Day Shift (7A–7P)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Charting System: EPIC (REQUIRED – within last 12 months)
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5–1:6
• Contract Type: Travel 

✅ Requirements

Education & Experience:

• BSN preferred
• Acute care experience preferred
• Recent EPIC experience (within 12 months) – REQUIRED 

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active California RN License – REQUIRED
• BLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
• ACLS (AHA) – REQUIRED
• PALS (AHA) – REQUIRED 

💼 Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
• Delegate tasks and supervise support staff appropriately
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
