Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a high-acuity Stepdown Unit caring for critically ill patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition.
• Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient care.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment while recognizing and responding to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, National Patient Safety Goals, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Promote a safe, patient-centered environment while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
