Description

We will accept submissions from L&D and OB Registered Nurses with the understanding that the RN needs to have experience in LDRP (Labor, Deliver, Recovery, Postpartum) and Newborn Nursery. The Registered Nurses are expected to independently provide comprehensive care to patients in all phases of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.** MUST HAVE NYC LICENSE TO SUBMIT **Specialty: OB RNShift: 3x12 Days 0700 - 1930Contract Length: 13 weeksWeekend coverage: Rotating - everyother weekendOn call: RequiredFloating: Required within skillsetFirst time travelers: AcceptedYears of experience: 1 year in an acute hospital. OB experience without a certification in EFM, low risk maternal care, high risk maternal care, etc. would depend on the type of experience. Charting: EPIC experience requiredCertification: ACLS, BLS, and NRP Required. ERM cert is preferred. Specifics: Must have experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum.

 

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRPSkills : Administration of blood & blood products, Adult cardiac arrest, Antihypertensives, APGAR scores, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), Assist with vaginal delivery, Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, D & C, Diabetes mellitus, Discharge teaching to parents, Epidural Anesthesia, Foley catheter insertion/management, Infant / neonatal arrest, Insulin drips*, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Neonatal Resuscitation, Newborn Assessment, Pain assessment & management, Pitocin (oxytocin), Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Premature Rupture of Membranes, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Recover C-Section, Scrub for C-Section, Starting and maintaining IVs, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Tubal Ligation, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Vaginal Delivery
