CT Technologist – Travel Contract (Afternoons)

Location: Virginia
Shift: Tuesday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (4x10s)
Contract: 13 weeks
On-Call: One week every 4 weeks 
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy, fast-paced imaging department providing care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients. This role is ideal for a confident technologist who can work independently while delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.

The ideal candidate has strong GE CT scanner experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols
• Verify patient identity, imaging orders, and procedural documentation prior to scanning
• Position and prepare patients for CT procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast agents as appropriate
• Produce diagnostic-quality images while following radiation safety standards
• Assist radiologists during CT-guided procedures using sterile technique
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the imaging team to provide exceptional patient care
• Utilize EPIC, PACS, and Radiant systems for documentation and image management
• Maintain equipment readiness and comply with all departmental quality and safety standards
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation

Qualifications

Required

• Active Virginia Radiology License
• ARRT (R)(CT) certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• GE CT scanner experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred

• 2+ years of CT experience
• Experience working with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency imaging
• EPIC and PACS experience

• Tuesday – Friday
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts each week
