Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse
Job Type: Full-Time Contract Assignment
Location: State College, PA 16803
Contract Duration: August 23, 2026 – November 30, 2026
Schedule: Sunday–Saturday | 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Flexible Schedule Required)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Work Setting: Retail Pharmacy Clinic – Onsite, Patient-Facing Role
 

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Immunization Nurse to support a vaccination initiative in a retail healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for administering a variety of vaccines while providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to improving community health outcomes through immunization services.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer vaccines including Influenza (Flu), COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended immunizations.
  • Perform patient screening, health assessments, and vaccine eligibility verification.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients regarding vaccinations, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vaccine administration and patient records.
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE guidelines.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional, and patient-focused care in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt to changing patient volumes, workflow needs, and scheduling requirements.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on quality care and improved patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state where services are provided.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and medication administration skills.
  • Ability and willingness to administer vaccines independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must not appear on the DEA Excluded Parties List.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in:
    • Immunization clinics
    • Community healthcare settings
    • Retail pharmacy clinics
    • Public health vaccination programs
  • Experience working in fast-paced patient-facing environments.

  • Adjust quickly to changing healthcare environments and patient needs.
