Tampa, Florida

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Tampa, Florida. This opportunity allows you to work with an adult and geriatric patient population in a skilled nursing setting while helping patients improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and overall functional independence.

This is a strong fit for a PT who enjoys working with medically complex patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, and helping individuals regain function following illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
Develop individualized plans of care based on each patient’s functional goals.
Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions.
Treat patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, surgery, hospitalization, and general deconditioning.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on mobility, safety, assistive devices, and home exercise programs.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, OT, SLP, case management, and other members of the care team.
Complete timely documentation, progress notes, and discharge recommendations.
