Sonographer - Ultrasound

Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day and Evening (rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and call)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Perform non-invasive imaging procedures in cardiac and/or vascular laboratories, including echocardiograms, stress echos, vascular duplexes, and other related diagnostic tests. Coordinate patient scheduling, ensure timely completion of procedures, and maintain accurate documentation for physician interpretation and billing.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS or
• Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Breast imaging experience is required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures relevant to your certification (cardiac or vascular) within established guidelines and timeframes
• Obtain patient information prior to testing and provide courteous responses to patient questions
• Notify medical staff if images deviate from normal findings
• Document procedures accurately in patient charts and through EPIC for billing purposes
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures to assist physician diagnosis
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas
• Maintain patient and unit confidentiality at all times
• Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely procedure completion
